SUMMARY:Empower Artists Gala 2021- Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Over the past two and a half years\, Off The Lane has been privileged to work with young creatives looking to transition from student to thriving professional. Through our mentorship\, continued education and career guidance programs\, we aim to empower\, educate\, and cultivate connections in the next generation of artists. \n\n\n\nOur Mentorship Program continues to soar as we welcomed our 6th session of Mentees in September. Our wonderful Mentors are extremely passionate about giving back to aspiring artists. The OTL community is growing by leaps and bounds and we couldn’t be more proud. We are also celebrating 1 year of our BOOST Program. This program focuses on creative career guidance for those that need a little boost. All of our programs are thoughtfully developed by and for artists. \n\n\n\nIn our inaugural year of the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program\, we will award a $5000 grant to an aspiring dancer seeking to move to NYC to accomplish dreams of professional employment. This grant will be accompanied with 1:1 Mentorship\, Educational Events and Resources\, Accountability Check-Ins\, and a community through the fast growing OTL Family\, carrying forward Annie’s passion for mentoring and cultivating young talent! In only 7 months\, we’ve witnessed a world full of yes\, as Annie’s friends\, colleagues and our passionate staff at Off The Lane have jumped in head first to establish and launch a program and scholarship that will inspire and empower a future generation of diverse and talented artists. We’ve created a framework for our Adjudication Process\, valuing transparency and. inclusion\, designed and built a custom software for the Application and Adjudication Process\, and are ecstatic to announce this year’s award! We are humbled by the incredible work of this devoted group and are looking forward to the development and expansion of this program for many years to come. \n\n\n\nOn November 8\, 2021\, two days shy of Annie’s birthday\, we will be announcing our inaugural year winner of the Ann Reinking Scholarship Program during OTL’s 2nd Annual Empower Artists Gala and are once again thanking you for your support. Not only will your support directly impact these young artists and help set them on a path for. success\, but you are helping build the groundwork for a program built for and by artists for many years to come. \n\n\n\nThank you again and we look forward to seeing you at this year’s Empower Artists Fundraiser! \n\n\n\n*Due to the size of the venue\, space is limited. If you are interested in attending in-person ($150) email hello@offthelane.org to join our waitlist. Covid Protocols will be in place and all attending must show proof of vaccination. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJOIN OUR MAILING LIST\n\n\n\nDONATE

SUMMARY:BOOST Banters: July 2022
DESCRIPTION:**This is a private event.** \n\n\n\nBOOST Banters was set up to help build a bridge between early-career and seasoned artists through a mixer style event. What is so special about this event is how intimate and personalized it is. Each guest is hand selected and paired with our BOOSTers. The event has been so successful in the past\, and we’re excited for the current round of BOOSTers to experience it – Dominic Bradley\, Alix Curnow\, Caroline Strange\, Miranda Stuck\, and Katrina Tutschek will all meet with experts whose current artistic focuses are in alignment with theirs. Past BOOSTer Chinelo Okpala said about the event\,  “It was amazing\, I am very grateful to [BOOST] for creating this space.” \n\n\n\nWhen asking our BOOST Co-Chairs\, Ayana Bey and Jillian Vitko\, why this event was so important to them\, they said they “wanted to demystify the word networking and create a space for artists to connect in an informal\, fun way. Taking the pressure off and just having a conversation as humans who happen to be in the same field.” \n\n\n\nLearn more about BOOST! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRead more about our BOOSTers and their experts! \n\n\n\n\n\nALIX CURNOW \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlix Curnow (they/them) is an actor\, writer and theatre educator. Last year they graduated with honors from the University of Michigan School of Music\, Theatre and Dance and are currently studying with Broadway’s “The Barrow Group.”  Alix is passionate about finding theoretical and material freedom through art. Currently\, Alix is based in New York City where they work as a theatre education apprentice for Broadway’s “Roundabout Theatre Company.” \n\n\n\nFun facts:1.
