Join us as four couples in varying degrees of love and anguish navigate one disastrous Halloween party. \n\n\n\nThe ColLab staged reading series reimagines what a “reading” can be. Instead of a static presentation\, we transform the room into an immersive environment that surrounds audiences with the world of the piece while honoring the development of a new script (audience members won’t be required to participate unless they want to.) The result? He writes plays that deal with work\, purpose\, community\, identity\, and what it means to get exactly what you wish for. Seth is also a musician and producer who often incorporates music and sound design into his plays. His work includes “Stupid Boring Straight People” and “ApocaLIPSTICK.” When he’s not writing\, Seth can be found running in Prospect Park\, playing Dungeons & Dragons\, or spending too much money on guitar pedals. Seth recently rearranged all of the furniture in his office space and believes this will be a real game-changer for him.\n\n\n\nJared Palmer Kirsch (JOEY) is an actor\, writer\, comedian based in Brooklyn\, New York and/or any Chipotle location. Jared can be seen performing all over the place in theater\, film\, and live comedy monthly with the critically-acclaimed NY Comedy Festival Headliner\, ¿Que?. Jared’s writing has been featured in multiple online and print publications\, as well as featured on Late Night with Seth Meyers’ monologues. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 2023 with a BFA in Acting. Life often feels crazy busy for her in NY between auditions\, her day job\, and any projects she gets cast in. So\, to slow things down a bit\, she usually spends her free time taking a yoga or breathwork class\, practicing herbalism/plant medicine\, or cozying up with coffee and her journal. She is so excited to be so stupid and boring and straight (and awesome) as Sarah tonight! Bryanna is represented by Brave Artists Management and Arise Artists Agency. \n\n\n\nCaleb Schantz (ROB) is originally from Oklahoma. (yes\, he does know there is a musical) He is stoked to be back to acting after some time away and is excited to be a part of this project and help tell these characters’ stories! He is a company member with Ardor Theater Company. As a mixed race artist she often feels she lives outside of definite terms and gravitates towards genre bending and convention breaking work. In that\, she seeks scripts that are haunting\, hopeful\, a little magical\, sometimes western\, and tackle the human condition. She wants to tell campfire stories of all kinds and remind audiences they are alive. She is also the miller 1/2 of the theatrical duo miller & harlow. She recently made her Off-Broadway debut as the villainous Madame DeFarge in A Tale of Two Cities with the Village Light Opera Group. Alongside performing\, Jillian is a passionate second generation Meisner teacher\, designated by the Meisner Institute\, and Founder of Meisner in Music\, the premier class to infuse the Meisner technique with singing. @MeisnerinMusic @JillianPaige \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDeven Anderson (Humperdink/Vizzini/Director/Playwright) is thrilled to be working with Off the Lane and this production of Princess Bride for the glorious Sam Clark. Deven and Sam first met working for Mustard Lane many moons ago passing out chocolate covered pretzels in Times Square for Deven’s first Lead shift (We wont mention that Deven lost track of where Sam went – I mean where wouldn’t he go with that level of charisma?). Several increasingly challenging  New York Comic Con events later and working for a stamina testing Snapchat Pop Up Shop together for over 3months\, Sam and Deven quickly realized there was no escaping that fabled NYC mutual nexus of support and friendship. Deven eventually veered off into a land of cardboard and parodies and Sam was always front row center\, laughing and smiling. Here we are again\, and this one’s for you pal.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBen (Grandpa/Miracle Max/Rodent 1) loves being here with you tonight. He is a former classmate of Deven’s from Circle In The Square Theater School\, where they participated in such unique exercises as “physical acting with that guy who taught Robocop how to walk” and “scene study with Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Philip Seymour Hoffman”\, among others. He loved that\, too. While not reading for a warm audience like yourselves\, he’s produced theater from church basements to Broadway stages\, has written six plays\, two screenplays\, two video game storylines with dialogue\, and is currently working on a Lovecraftian-style podcast. She also spent 6 years wearing exclusively beige and singing about a lot of Ham. Mila is excited to get silly with Off The Lane after not being allowed to smile for those 6 years. Snacks and beverages will be provided\, because of course. Whether you’re a performer\, director\, stage manager\, producer\, or general arts fan\, engaging in new material and meeting new people is one of the most valuable ways to participate in and level up the arts community.
