BOOSTer Testimonials

BOOST has been such an amazing resource. Being able to meet with Jill and Ayana to clarify my goals made them feel so much more real. And knowing that every few weeks I would be meeting with them to give them status updates really held me accountable. They are such an amazing wealth of wisdom and experience, and I feel lucky that I got to be a part of that. Ireland
Fernandez-Cosgrove, 2025 BOOSTer.
I saw so much personal growth within myself and I am proud that I showed up for myself in ways I never did before. It was very helpful to talk about my obstacles and have resources provided so I could overcome them. Chinelo Okpala, 2024 BOOSTer.
My time with BOOST was one filled with laughter, advice giving and trust building! I saw it as ‘career-therapy’ where a space was held for me to vent about my career struggles
and successes and ask for thoughts and opinions from people in the business. I really valued the time I spent with BOOST and the conversations that were shared here are ones I will cherish throughout my career in the acting business! Alix Curnow, 2022 BOOSTer.
BOOST has been, essentially, actor career therapy for me. I thought the mentorship would push me to get an agent, build my website, etc. instead, I was gently and consistently guided towards putting words to my fears so I could find the joy in my artistry again. I’ve learned to ask myself questions, take deep breaths, and have patience and love for myself. Whether or not my website gets built, my confidence and self love have been strengthened. Caroline Strange, 2021 BOOSTer.

BOOST Banters

BOOST Banters was set up to help build a bridge between new and seasoned artists through a mixer style event. What is so special about this event is how intimate and personalized it is. Each guest is hand selected and paired with our BOOSTers.

When asking our BOOST Co-Chairs, Ayana Bey and Jillian Vitko, why this event was so important to them, they said they “wanted to demystify the word networking and create a space for artists to connect in an informal, fun way. Taking the pressure off and just having a conversation as humans who happen to be in the same field.”
