OFF / THE LANE: SPEAKER SERIES // KELLY KLEIN

ZOOM CONFERENCE

May 21, 2020 @ 4:30 pm 5:30 pm

Kelly is an actor, producer, and acting coach originally from LA but has made NYC her artistic home since attending the New School University (Class of ’07). Acting credits include “Taking Woodstock” (Dir. Ang Lee), T.V. shows “FBI: Most Wanted,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “Nurse Jackie,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “The Jake Effect” and theatre including “The Diary of Anne Frank” (Nat’l tour with Barter Theater) and multiple shows with BREAD Arts Collective including “The Great American Casket Company” at the historic Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. Producing credits include the short digital anthology “Owls & Echoes”, the web series pilot “Stranger Friends” and the web series “Specretaries.” She is a proud IFP fellow and member of BREAD Arts Collective and owns and operates Calloway Productions, a self-tape and coaching service for actors. Additionally, she loves her work on The Lane as Admin Support and is a proud “laner,” having worked with ML since 2013.

Kelly launched Calloway Productions in 2016 and has now worked with well over 600 individual actors, helping them coach and self-tape for auditions as well as assisting in editing reels and clips. Having grown up in L.A., she landed her first agent at the ripe age of six while chatting up a server in a restaurant. Turns out, that server’s sister was a talent manager for kids, and the rest is history.

Kelly started CP out of her Upper East Side studio. It was very meta, a production studio inside a studio! Then, in 2020, she made the leap and got her very own midtown manhattan space just for her business! Now, with Covid on the rise and self-tapes more in-demand than ever, she is pivoting to help her clients with virtual sessions.

Kelly has been “on The Lane” since 2013 working gigs. She then transitioned exclusively to her Admin Support role when Calloway Productions started to take off. Most notably, she helps laners get paid and is very thankful for the support of the ML internal staff, the larger ML community, and especially to Kristal. Big mustard hearts!!
